Exactly how much of the software you run and are planning to run is
multi-threaded?  Not only that, you are paying another premium for
two socket quad-capable machines.  For being cost-conscious, you guys
are about to spend money that you don't need to.  That is based on
the assumption that you are going to put dual socket quad capable
workstations on everyone's desk, which is how I read your email.
